Established in 1814 as the oldest public museum in Czechia, the Silesian Museum houses an extensive library documenting the cultural and intellectual history of Czech Silesia. Its holdings feature diverse regional manuscripts, guild records, and early modern theological and scholarly works. The collection also preserves authentic medieval manuscripts, including 14th- and 15th-century codices and liturgical manuscript fragments.
