Zámecká knihovna Rychnov nad Kněžnou

Rychnov nad Kněžnou Chateau Library

The library at Rychnov nad Kněžnou Castle, an important aristocratic collection, is housed within a Baroque château built in the early 18th century. The estate has been associated with the noble Kolowrat-Krakowský family since the 17th century. The library contains over 12,000 volumes, including rare manuscripts and incunabula, and forms part of the château’s preserved historical interior, which also includes an art collection and period furnishings. Nationalized during the communist regime, the library and estate were returned to the Kolowrat-Krakowský family in 1992 and remain a key part of the family's cultural heritage at Rychnov Castle.
